Welcome to CG Forward.

This site exists to create space for thoughtful writing and discussion about local policy, governance, and community issues in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin and the surrounding area. It’s a place for ideas, analysis, and perspectives that don’t always fit neatly into meeting agendas, comment threads, or social media posts.

CG Forward is intentionally a multi-author platform. Contributors bring different backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints, and they won’t always agree with one another. That’s by design. Healthy communities benefit from informed disagreement and honest conversation, especially on issues that shape how we live, grow, and govern together.

Posts published here reflect the views of their individual authors. Some pieces may dive into the details of local decisions or policies; others may step back and ask broader questions about direction, tradeoffs, and priorities. Not every post will speak to every reader and that’s okay.

This is not a replacement for public meetings, civic engagement, or direct participation in local government. It’s simply one additional forum for ideas, context, and perspective.
